The Horsham Clinic, in partnership with the Horsham Township Police Department, and the Upper Dublin Police Department, is inviting local residents and businesses to a community meeting aimed at fostering open dialogue and strengthening collaboration between community members and these agencies.

According to the Horsham Police Department, the meeting is in response to recent incidents in which patients at the Horsham Clinic have left the facility without permission.

"In response to recently increased awareness regarding patient elopements from the Horsham Clinic, the clinic staff invite you to a community meeting," the Horsham Police Department wrote.

Last October, the Horsham Police Department put out an alert that a patient with a history of violence had left the facility without permission. They advised residents not to approach the subject, and eventually captured the patient hours later that same day.

This event will offer an opportunity for residents to share concerns, ask questions, and learn more about the services and resources available through both the clinic and local law enforcement.

"The meeting is the collaboration of the community that sits adjacent to The Horsham Clinic, the police and Horsham Clinic," said Lauren Centola, Director of Business  Development at The Horsham Clinic.

The meeting will take place on Tuesday, July 15, at 5:30 p.m., and will be held at The Horsham Clinic, located at 722 E. Butler Pike, Ambler, in Building 7.

"They have some questions about our hospital and we wanted to host them to give them a forum to ask and also let them know of what we do at Horsham (since some of their backyard sit along our property line), the patients we treat and to discuss some stigmas around mental illness," Centola said.

Whether you're interested in learning more about the clinic’s behavioral health services, want to discuss public safety concerns, or simply wish to build stronger ties with your neighbors and local agencies, this event is an excellent place to start.

Light refreshments will be provided, and attendees will have the opportunity to speak directly with representatives from both The Horsham Clinic and the Horsham Township Police Department.

To help organizers plan accordingly, please RSVP by contacting Lauren Centola at 215-704-0612 (call or text), or by email at [email protected]
