Donte Osborne, 38, of the 1600 block of Park Avenue in Willow Grove, is facing felony charges stemming from a sexual incident with a minor, according to police.

On June 30, a victim came forward to the Abington Police Department to report that a male, later identified as Osborne, made a verbal threat of violence toward the victim. According to police documents, Osborne told the victim “I will blow your brains out and sit on the curb and wait for the police.”

The victim believed the statement to be true and told police that Osborne carries a handgun “all the time,” according to police documents. The victim feared for her safety and believes Osborne will follow through with these threats. The fear from these threats resulted in the victim and her children fleeing to another state, away from Osborne, who purchased a Smith & Wesson 9mm handgun in November 2023, according to police.

During the police investigation, it was discovered that Osborne took photographs of a 13-year-old minor child in various states of undress, according to police. Police discovered multiple inappropriate images of the minor in Osborne’s possession, according to police.

In total, nine photographs were discovered depicting the 13-year-old victim in a sexual nature, according to police. This teenager was in the care of Osborne at the time the photographs were taken, according to police.

Osborne now faces felony charges of sexual abuse of children - child pornography, sexual exploitation of children, unlawful contact with a minor, aggravated indecent assault, endangering the welfare of children, and other minor charges.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
