UPDATE: Roller blading robber entered four separate gas stations with gun, knife demanding cash, according to police

Michael Gordon, 32, of Hatboro, the armed suspect who was seen on roller blades robbing a gas station in Abington Township, has been charged in connection to other robberies, according to police. 

Gordon was charged with robbery, aggravated assault, theft by unlawful taking, and other offenses. And according to police documents, Gordon allegedly robbed multiple gas stations in a time period of weeks.

On May 25, Gordon entered the Lukoil gas station on roller blades in Abington Township located at 1945 Old York Road. Around 7:32 p.m., Gordon lifted his jacket to reveal the black handle of a handgun and the black handle of a knife to the gas station employee, according to police.

Gordon allegedly threatened to shoot the employee in the chest if he didn’t hand over money. Gordon allegedly was handed $1,000 and then skated away down Old York Road, according to police.

In addition to the handgun and knife, Gordon also appeared to be armed with a bat or pipe, according to police.

On May 14, the Lower Southampton Police Department commenced its investigation into an armed robbery at Sunoco located at 300 E Street Road, located in the Feasterville-Trevose section of Lower Southampton Township. According to police, a suspect entered the gas station and pointed a handgun directly at the employee and demanded all the money from the cash register. The suspect fled the scene after less than $100 was handed over from the register, according to police.

On May 19, a similar robbery occurred at the Karco gas station located at 100 Byberry Road in Philadelphia, according to police. A white male was brandishing the handle of black handgun and demanding the money from the cash register, according to police. At least $2,000 in cash had been handed over, and the suspect fled the area on foot.  

Police reviewed CCTV footage of all three incidents, and the suspect, Gordon, matched each incident with his height, weight, and weapons brandished. Additionally, the audio picked up from the footage matched the same voice as Gordon in previous incidents, according to police.

The roller blading robber garnered television coverage, which prompted a tip from an anonymous person to police, indicating that Gordon was suspect. 

On June 8, police conducted a traffic stop of a Ford Focus along the 1500 block of Old York Road. According to police, the driver, identified as Gordon, had a voice very similar the one heard on CCTV footage. 

During a search of the vehicle, a black mini baseball bat and a black BB gun were located and recognized as being potential evidence of the robberies, according to police. A search of Gordon’s home produced the dark pair of roller blades allegedly seen on the video footage from the robbery.

Gordon now faces felony charges of robbery after admitting to such incidents, according to police.
