The Horsham Township Police Department is committed to protecting the community through proactive policing and strong partnerships with other law enforcement agencies, an approach exemplified in a recent joint operation that led to the arrest of an armed robbery suspect.
On June 27, Phu Nguyen, a 35-year-old male, allegedly entered the Bank of Princeton in Voorhees Township, N.J., where he committed an armed robbery by displaying a firearm and demanding money, according to police.
The suspect fled the scene prior to the arrival of law enforcement. Following a multi-agency investigation, a warrant was issued for Nguyen’s arrest on July 1, charging him with robbery and unlawful possession of a weapon.
On the morning of July 3, Nguyen was taken into custody without incident in the 200 block of Easton Road in Horsham Township. The arrest was executed by agents from the United States Marshals Service with the assistance of the Horsham Township Police Department. Law enforcement officials confirmed that there was never any danger to the public during the course of the operation.
