Hatboro man charged with felony after striking nurse in face with closed fist, according to police

A Hatboro man must answer to a judge after an altercation with a nurse at Holy Redeemer Hospital, according to police. 

Kevin Patrick Brizzi, 31, of the 100 block of E Moreland Avenue in Hatboro, is facing a felony charge of aggravated assault, and other charges, for an incident on July 1. 

On Tuesday, a police officer from the Abington Police Department was dispatched to Holy Redeemer Hospital, 1648 Huntingdon Pike, located in the Huntingdon Valley section of Abington Township, for a report of an assault on a nurse.

Upon arrival, the police officer spoke with the victim, who stated that while he was trying to assist his patient, Brizzi, back to his bed, Brizzi struck the victim across the face with a closed fist, according to police.

Brizzi was immediately sedated and restrained by medical staff. The victim received minor injuries to the face, according to police. 

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
