First annual Horsham Fire & Ice Open charity golf event coming soon to Sandy Run Country Club

While we continue to dig out from the recent snowstorm, there are greener pastures ahead.

The Waterside Horsham Foundation will be hosting its first annual Horsham Police & Fire Open, a charity golf outing, to be held on May 5 at the Sandy Run Country Club, 200 E. Valley Green Rd. in Oreland.

“While we know there are still a few inches of snow on the ground, but Spring is only a few short months away,” Horsham Chief's Advisory Teams wrote. “Our friends over at the Waterside Horsham Foundation will be holding a golf outing on May 5th. The proceeds of which will be donated to both the Police and Fire Departments here in Horsham.”

The event will feature special golfer contests, including a hole-in-one competition, putting, closest to the pin contests, straightest drive contests, team low gross contests, and a spin-to-win contest. Prizes will be awarded to all participants. Snack and beverages can be purchased on the course. 

Schedule of events: 

  • 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.: Registration
  • 11 a.m to 12 noon: Lunch
  • 12 p.m.: Shotgun start
  • 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.: Happy hour/reception, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, followed by a presentation of award winners and prizes.

Registration fees are $250 per person / $1,000 per foursome. Entry fees include golf, food and open bar during the reception.
