Few residents have devoted the time and effort to Horsham Township like Kenneth Gehlhaus.
At its recent Horsham Township Council meeting, officials recognized and gave a dedication to the 24-year-veteran as a board member of the Parks and Rec Department.
“Ken was dedicated to Horsham Township having also served as a volunteer for the Easter Egg Hunt, Horsham Day, the Freezer 5k, as well as other Township run events,” the township wrote.
Gehlhaus joined the Parks and Recreation Boad in 2000. During his time spent there, he served as vice president for three years and president for one.
“His time spent in Horsham has been time well spent!” the township wrote. “Ken Gehlhaus truly exemplifies the noble endeavor to leave a place better than when found, and in doing so, inspires all of us to do the same! Join us in wishing Ken the best of luck in his future endeavors!”
