The Hatboro-Horsham High School Madrigals Choir will join numerous other artists at Penn State's University Park campus to celebrate the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr.
“A Choral Tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.” will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 24, in Eisenhower Auditorium on Penn State's University Park campus.
Modeled after a program first presented in 1990 by the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., the performance will feature vocal themes from African and African American music that emphasize King’s legacy.
Performing alongside Hatboro-Horsham's Madrigal Choir will be:
The program will feature renditions of works by Moses Hogan, Raymond Wise, Roger Emerson and others, and a finale featuring all the choirs together singing “Anthem of Praise,” “Total Praise” and “Better.”

About Hatboro-Horsham Madrigals Choir
Madrigals is an SATB advanced vocal ensemble performing a variety of diverse repertoire. Students will advance skills in vocal technique, breath management, phonation, vowel continuity, sight-singing and sound quality. Madrigals is an intensive and highly selective ensemble performing advanced repertoire with a rigorous performance schedule during the fall semester. Madrigals is offered during the fall semester only. Audition criteria are presented to the students in January for the following school year in Concert Choir.
