A man remains on the Montgomery County’s Most Wanted list stemming from a Huntingdon Valley incident which occurred in December 2023.
According to the Lower Moreland Township Police Department, Jaime Natal Burgos, 48, is wanted by police for his role in a December 2023 theft. Police said that on Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2023, they responded to the Pennypack Park Trail parking lot in the 600 block of Red Lion Road in Huntingdon Valley when someone reported a theft from a motor vehicle there.
Upon arriving at the parking lot, police interviewed the victim who said that they’d parked in the lot while they “went for a run on the trail,” said police. The victim said that, after the run when they’d returned, their key was not working to access the vehicle, and that the door lock had been “tampered with,” causing the lock to malfunction.
After gaining access to the car, the victim said many credit cards were stolen. They had been notified by fraud departments of their various card companies reporting the unauthorized use of the cards to them. In total, several thousand dollars of purchases were made, police said.
Police investigations helped them to identify Burgos, and an arrest warrant was issued on Aug. 9, 2024. Burgos is charged with identity theft, access of a device without authorized use, receiving stolen property, theft by unlawful taking, and possession of a device knowing it was counterfeit/altered.
Burgos is described as a Hispanic male, around 5’10” in height, weighing 220 pounds. He is said to have brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information on Burgos or his location should call detectives at 215-947-3132.
