Horsham Township’s Council took time out at its last meeting to recognize one of the township’s most dedicated volunteers with a word of thanks.
Kenneth Gehlhaus has been giving back to the Horsham community through the Park and Recreation Board for more than two decades. According to the township’s social media post, he has provided his services for the past 24 years.
“Ken was dedicated to Horsham Township having also served as a volunteer for the Easter Egg Hunt, Horsham Day, the Freezer 5K, and other township-run events,” said the post. “Having joined the Horsham Park and Recreation in 2000, during his duration on the board, Ken served as vice president for three years and president for one year.”
Gehlhaus has devoted several hours of his time to make the community functional and enjoyable for its residents.
“His time spent in Horsham has been time well spent,” said the township’s Facebook post. “Ken Gehlhaus truly exemplifies the noble endeavor to leave a place better than when found, and in doing so, inspires all of us to do the same.”
Congratulations on your recognition. We join the township in wishing the best in future endeavors.
