The Borough of Hatboro seeks volunteers to join community boards, councils

Multiple positions are open as 2025 gets underway.

Perhaps you’ve made a resolution to give back to your local community more in 2025? Or maybe you simple have been seeking a way to volunteer your time. Either way, Hatboro Borough wants to hear from you!

If you are interested in serving your community, the Borough of Hatboro is currently seeking your assistance. Several volunteers are needed for the borough’s many boards and councils.

Presently, the borough is seeking persons for the following boards and commissions:

Planning Commission: Planning Commission makes recommendations to Council on proposed projects/developments, Subdivision and Land Development and Zoning code for the Borough of Hatboro.

Historical Commission: Attends monthly meetings to discuss Historical Properties and Resources throughout the Borough. Reviews permits for Historical Properties and issues recommendations on the same. Develops and administers Historical Resource Inventory.

Environmental Advisory Council: Serves to educate and inform Borough residents about issues of environmental importance to the community.

Parking Commission: Oversees the orderly development and maintenance of adequate public parking facilities, both on public streets and off-street, within the Borough limits of the Borough of Hatboro, and advises Borough Council on matters concerning the operations and maintenance of parking facilities owned or leased by the Borough of Hatboro.

Shade Tree Commission: Oversees all Shade Trees within the Borough and reviews permits for the replacement, removal, pruning, etc. for all Shade Trees. Conducts an annual inventory and assessment of Shade Trees throughout the Borough.

Upper Moreland Hatboro Joint Sewer Authority Board: Attends monthly meetings for the Upper Moreland Hatboro Joint Sewer Authority Board. Assists with overseeing administrative operations of the Sewer Authority along with other Board members.
