The Hatboro Police Department has released a statement indicating it has arrested Tomas Amorim, 23, on Wednesday Feb. 12, 2025 for his outstanding arrest warrant.

Amorim was wanted for an incident stemming back to November 2024 when he illegally tried to purchase a gun.

Horshamnow.com first reported on this incident on Feb. 5.

The 23-year-old faces one felony count of sale or transfer of firearms, and faces one additional charge of unsworn falsification to authorities.

On Nov. 22, 2024, the Hatboro Police Department responded to a report of an individual attempting to buy a firearm using false information. Following an investigation, it was discovered that Amorim had provided misleading details on the necessary paperwork for the firearm purchase. As a result, a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
