Philadelphia sports fan are known to get a little rowdy from time to time.
For that reason, the Hatboro Police Department has announced that it will have additional officers working the night of the Super Bowl.
"Dating back to the 1970’s, Hatboro's York Road Business District has been known for large celebrations following championship wins of Philadelphia sports franchises," it said on the Hatboro Police website. "While many of these spontaneous events have been largely peaceful, there have been occasions when unruly individuals have engaged in behaviors that have led to property damage."
The Hatboro Police Department has asked business and property owners to secure any items they may own outside of their businesses. For example, it recommends removing any moveable items such as sign boards, private trash containers and unsecured furniture from the sidewalks to a location inside your business prior to the evening of February 9, 2025.
It is also asking establishments that are licensed to serve alcoholic beverages have adequate staffing on-duty to prevent customers from leaving your respective businesses with open containers of alcoholic beverages, especially bottles and cans.
