Hatboro Police Department seeking information on whereabouts of man who tried to illegally purchase gun

The Hatboro Police Department is seeking the public's help for the whereabouts of Tomas Amorim, who attempted to buy a firearm using false information, according to police.

The 23-year-old faces one felony count of sale or transfer of firearms, and faces one additional charge of unsworn falsification to authorities. 

On Nov. 22, 2024, the Hatboro Police Department responded to a report of an individual attempting to buy a firearm using false information. Following an investigation, it was discovered that Amorim had provided misleading details on the necessary paperwork for the firearm purchase. As a result, a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
