A Horsham home sustained significant damage following a fire on Christmas Eve, according to authorities.
Fire crews were dispatched at 10:43 a.m. Wednesday to the 100 block of Macintosh Court after reports of a building fire, Horsham Community Police Services said. Upon arrival, the Horsham Township Fire Department upgraded the call, prompting additional fire companies from Montgomery and Bucks counties to respond and assist in battling the blaze.
Authorities said the fire caused extensive damage to the home. One resident was transported to a hospital for treatment. The condition of the individual was not immediately released.
The Horsham Township Department of Emergency Management assisted the affected family at the scene following the incident.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Horsham Township Fire Marshal. Officials thanked mutual aid fire companies and emergency medical services for their assistance during the response.
