A retail theft involving more than $1,000 in merchandise was stopped last week at Willow Grove Park Mall, according to Abington Township police.
Police said the incident occurred on Dec. 12, 2025, at approximately 6:54 p.m. at Macy’s, located at 2500 Moreland Road. Police responded to the store after being contacted by Macy’s security, who reported that two retail theft suspects were in custody.
Store security identified the suspects as Lola Dusmatova, 35, of Philadelphia, and Nodirdzhon Dusmatov, 41, of Philadelphia. Security personnel stated they were alerted to the pair’s presence through a retail theft alert system and began monitoring their activity inside the store.
According to security, Dusmatova selected two Hotel Collection king-size duvet cover sets from the third-level Home Goods department, each valued at $550, for a total of $1,100. The items were not paid for.
Security reported that Dusmatova brought the merchandise to Dusmatov, who was carrying a brown bag. The pair removed purchased items from the bag, after which Dusmatova placed the unpaid merchandise inside. Dusmatov then carried the bag containing the concealed items while Dusmatova carried the bag with the purchased merchandise.
The two exited the store together through the third-level exterior entrance, passing all points of sale without paying for the merchandise. Macy’s security stopped and detained both individuals outside the store.
The stolen items were recovered from Dusmatov and returned to the store.
Dusmatova and Dusmatov are both facing felony charges of retail theft.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 4, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. before Magisterial District Judge Juanita A. Price.
