Emergency crews repair water main break; officials warn that residents may see water discoloration

The Horsham Water and Sewer Authority has issued a statement following a water main break that occurred Tuesday morning on Clayton Road, between Catbrier Way and Beatrice Avenue.

According to the Authority, the break happened at approximately 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 16. Crews responded to the scene and completed emergency repairs, and service has since been restored to the affected area.

Officials said some residents may experience temporary water discoloration as a result of the repair work. Residents who notice discolored water are advised to flush their service lines by running water from a bathtub faucet or an outdoor spigot until the water runs clear. The Authority noted this process should only take a few minutes.

If water discoloration persists after flushing, residents are encouraged to contact the Horsham Water and Sewer Authority for further assistance.
