A state tax break program designed to help low-income individuals and improve distressed areas has delivered $508,550 to agencies in Montgomery County that help to advance those goals.
The funding is part of $7.5 million that was delivered to Southeast Pennsylvania and roughly $70 million statewide as part of the Neighborhood Assistance Program, which provides tax credits to businesses that contribute to nonprofit organizations’ efforts to revitalize communities. A total of 405 projects across the commonwealth are being supported.
Through the NAP, businesses can receive tax credits of up to 95 percent on contributions they make to a qualifying community project.
