Emergency crews responded Wednesday afternoon to a vehicle rescue in the 800 block of Herman Road in Horsham Township, prompting significant traffic delays and a temporary road closure, according to reports.
The crash, reported at approximately 2:02 p.m., caused damage to nearby power lines, resulting in a widespread outage in the surrounding neighborhood. According to officials, about 80 homes are currently without electricity.
PECO has been notified and is working to restore service. The utility estimates that power will be fully restored by 4:10 p.m.
Drivers are advised to avoid Herman Road while first responders and utility crews work at the scene.
