Emergency crews responded to a serious crash over the weekend near the intersection of Welsh Road and Cedar Hill Road in Lower Gwynedd Township after a vehicle overturned, trapping the driver inside, according to reports.
The incident occurred Saturday around 12:58 p.m.
According to officials, a doctor who witnessed the crash was already on scene rendering aid and checking on the condition of the driver when first responders arrived. The vehicle’s airbags had deployed.
Firefighters from Wissahickon Fire Company performed the vehicle rescue and worked to safely free the entrapped driver. Additional details on injuries were not immediately available.
The incident remains under investigation by local authorities.
