With the summer winding down and August coming to a close, it's time for parents and students to get into back-to-school mode.

Hatboro-Horsham School District will open its doors to students for the first day of school on Sept. 2. Before those students step foot in school buildings, Superintendent Dr. Scott Eveslage penned a back-to-school message for families as they approach the school year.

His message was published on the Hatboro-Horsham School District website.

Greetings, Hatboro-Horsham Students and Families,

As we open the doors to another promising school year, I'm filled with excitement about the incredible possibilities that lie ahead. There's something truly energizing about a new beginning: the enthusiasm in our hallways, the curiosity in our classrooms, and that shared sense of anticipation for all we'll accomplish together.

This year, we renew our commitment to place student learning at the center of all we do. We’re making it clear that our core mission is to ensure every student learns, grows, and succeeds—and that every decision we make must align with this mission. From innovative STEM projects that spark curiosity to literacy programs that unlock new worlds, from collaborative problem-solving in mathematics to creative expression in the arts, our teachers are crafting experiences that not only meet rigorous standards but ignite a genuine love of learning.

We'll be highlighting these classroom successes throughout the year because we believe in the power of sharing our story. When students see their peers engaged in meaningful work, when families witness the depth of learning taking place, and when our community understands the excellence happening within our schools, we all become part of something bigger.

Together, we're not just preparing students for tests or the next grade level. We're nurturing critical thinkers, creative problem-solvers, and compassionate leaders who will shape our future.

Here's to a year of growth, discovery, and achievement for every student in our care.

Scott Eveslage, Ed.D.
Superintendent of Schools
