In March 2024, the Abington Police Department received an anonymous complaint regarding the sale of marijuana and mushrooms in Abington Township, Jenkintown, Cheltenham, and Hatboro, according to police.
Abington Police began investigating Jaan Qadeer Bacon, 22, of Willow Grove, who is accused of selling drugs, as well as the illegal transfer of firearms, according to police.

According to the investigation, Bacon was allegedly selling drugs through social media, utilizing an Instagram account with the name of “4xexotics_.” The concerned citizen who filed the complaint claims that Bacon is “armed with a firearm at all times,” according to police.
Police officers began to monitor the social media account, which had two videos posted. One video depicted “Gold Coast Clear” THC cartridges and the second video depicted a video of marijuana, according to police. The account also featured a saved “highlight reel” labeled “4x Reviews,” which show reviews from customers, according to police.
The Instagram account was connected to a Telegram chat channel, named “4X Dispensary,” which gives instructions on how to place orders, according to police. This channel also advertises prices of controlled substances for sale and delivery, according to police.
As police monitored the social media accounts, photographs and videos were posted daily, updating potential customers of what was for sale and the location, according to police.
In May 2024, the account “4exotics_” was shut down and the suspect opened a new account called “4xexotix,” where notifications of substances for sale, such as Oxycodone, Ecstasy, marijuana, and THC cartridges, according to police.
On June 10, 2024, police conducted a traffic stop of Bacon, who was driving a Honda Civic. Bacon claimed the car belonged to his girlfriend. During a vehicle search, police recovered the following items:
Bacon does not have a conceal carry permit and was arrested on scene. He is being charged with carrying a firearm without a license, possession of controlled substance, possession of controlled substance with intent to distribute, and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to police.
Sale of Firearm #1
Communication between Bacon and Vazquez via social media in February 2024 reveals that Bacon was offered a firearm for sale for $600. Based on cell phone messages recovered by police, the sale of the firearm was completed on Feb. 22, 2024.
Bacon also communicated with a juvenile on that same day, and it is believed that Bacon facilitated the sale of the firearm between Vazquez and the juvenile – a Ruger P93DC firearm.
Sale of Firearm #2, #3
Based on phone records, Bacon and Smith had a conversation on Feb. 23, 2024, to facilitate the sale of a firearm in Hatboro, according to police. Smith messaged Bacon near the 100 block of Holly Drive at 7:29 p.m., indicating he was near the location to complete the sale of the gun.
In their conversation, Bacon and Smith agree to trade a Canik for a ghost gun at a Hatboro location, according to police.
Arrest of Smith
On May 7, 2025, Abington Police conducted a traffic stop on the 600 block of Easton Road, located in the Glenside section of Abington Township, according to police.
Police officers made contact with Smith, who was sitting in the front passenger seat. During an investigation, police discovered a tan and black 9mm handgun on Smith’s waistband. The firearm was located with one round in the chamber and nine additional rounds in the extended magazine. Smith did not have a valid concealed carry permit.
Smith''s bail was set at $50,077.
A preliminary hearing for Smith is scheduled for Oct. 8, 2025 at 12:45 p.m. in front of Magisterial District Judge Juanita A. Price.
