Dedication, reliability, and a strong sense of community are qualities that define those who make a lasting impact.
Through years of hard work and unwavering commitment, people can become a cornerstone of the township, always ready to lend a hand, tackle challenges, and contribute to the betterment of the community.
Such is the case with a vital member of Horsham Township.
Recently, Fred Pittman was honored for his 25 years of service in Horsham's Parks & Recreation Department and Public Works Department.
Pittman began his career as a laborer for the Parks & Rec Department and currently serves as the truck driver for the Public Works Department.
Throughout the years, Pittman has primarily focused on maintaining township parks and has played a vital role in building many of the playgrounds and pavilions. You’ve likely seen him hard at work—mowing grass in the spring and summer or plowing snow in the winter.
“I enjoy the people I work with," Pittman said when asked what he enjoys most about his time with Horsham Township.
"Thank you, Fred, for your unwavering commitment to our community over the past quarter-century," Horsham Township wrote. "Here’s to your continued success in all that you do!"
