Due to an ominous weather forecast this weekend, the Horsham Little League has made the “tough decision” to postpone its Opening Day Parade scheduled for Saturday, April 12.
Instead, the organization will shift its event to a “Hatboro Little League Community Day,” to be held on Saturday, May 31.
The same traditional Opening Day festivities and a ceremony will be planned on that day, according to organizers, but will also be looking to add some extra events to make the day more memorable. The parade of teams will still take place.
The parking lot where the parade was taking place was supposed to be paved before Saturday, April 12, however, the weather has forced HLL to adjust its plans since the lot will not be ready for the parade.
The games scheduled for Saturday, April 12, will still go on as scheduled, according to Hatboro Little League. HLL will monitor the weather report and make changes as needed.
“We will wait to see if we get the forecasted rain before cancelling games,” The Hatboro Little League Board said. “We will reach out Friday late evening or early Saturday morning to confirm games schedules.”
