Last Thursday, Access Network reported a stabbing incident at the Gardens of Willow Grove, 409 Easton Road, Willow Grove.

According to the Upper Moreland Police Department, the situation was a domestic dispute between a boyfriend and girlfriend who had been living together in an apartment for the last month.

Keyahna Linton, 28, of Willow Grove, faces a felony charge of aggravated assault stemming from an altercation with her boyfriend in which she stabbed him with a knife and punched him multiple times in the head/face area.

When police arrived on scene, the boyfriend originally told police officers that a person named Brittany stabbed him, however, according to police, he changed his story shortly after and said he was “done covering for her and Linton was the person that stabbed him.”

According to police, the two began an argument after the boyfriend was searching the apartment for a personal item. The boyfriend told police that he believed the item was in the bedroom, where Linton was at the time. Linton and her boyfriend then began to shove each other back and forth in the bedroom, according to police.

As the boyfriend was leaving the room, he stated that he was punched in the back of the head. Linton had a knife in her left hand, and used her right hand to punch him multiple times in the back of the head, according to police.

Linton told police that she had a small knife on her key chain and pulled the knife out to protect herself. Linton told police the two were continuing to push each other back and forth when her boyfriend’s hand was cut by the knife.

The boyfriend told police that he was stabbed four times in the hand. The knife was less than six inches in length. He told police the altercation ended after he walked out of the apartment.

The boyfriend was transported to Abington Memorial Hospital to treat wounds on his left hand.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
