The Upper Moreland Township Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) is hosting its annual Earth Day Fair on April 26, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Masons Mill Park, 3500 Masons Mill Road in Willow Grove.
People of all ages are invited to learn about rain gardens, native plants, meadows, trees, watersheds, electric cars, beekeeping, butterflies, bats, bluebirds and more.
There also will be plenty of children's activities to keep the young ones entertained. Live animal presentations will take place at 11 a.m.
There will also be food, music and fun giveaways to make the day exciting for everyone.
This event serves as an opportunity to educate local residents about sustainable practices and environmental stewardship. The EAC, which plays a key role in promoting environmental awareness in the township, organizes various activities and initiatives designed to inspire positive action toward preserving the natural world.
Earth Day celebrations hosted by the EAC often include a range of educational programs, such as workshops on composting, recycling, and energy conservation. These activities provide practical tools for residents to incorporate eco-friendly habits into their daily lives.
The Upper Moreland Township EAC’s Earth Day event is not only a celebration of nature but also a call to action, encouraging all attendees to take part in protecting the environment and making lasting positive changes in their community.
