The Hatboro Police Department wants to make sure its residents have the right "fit" when they venture out of the house.
With the tag line of "helping mature drivers find their safest fit," CarFit is partnering with the Hatboro Police Department to offer residents a free CarFit checkup. Through a simple, hands-on evaluation, CarFit helps individuals adjust key vehicle features, such as seat position, mirror alignment, and steering wheel height, to optimize driving posture and reduce potential risks.
The event will be held on Wednesday, April 9, at the Pennypack Community Center, 130 Spring Avenue, Hatboro, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (rain date April 16).
The event is by appointment only. If interested, you need to register by Monday, April 7, by emailing Laura Williamson at [email protected].
"With CarFit, an educational program developed by AARP and the American Occupational Therapy Association, you’ll get information and resources on how you can enhance your safety in the driver’s seat," it states on the company website.
