Pickleball Madness Tournament coming to Dill Dinkers in Hatboro

The Rotary Club of Horsham is hosting the competition from May 2 through 4

The Rotary Club of Horsham Pickleball Derby will take place from May 2-4 at Dill Dinkers, 354 S Warminster Road, Hatboro. The Pickleball Madness tournament will follow a Round Robin format, where each match is played to 11 points, win by 2, with a maximum score of 15 by 1. To ensure a smooth flow of matches, rally scoring will begin at the 18-minute mark. With a guaranteed 5 round-robin matches, players will have plenty of opportunities to compete and showcase their skills.

The tournament registration fee is $30. According to the tournament description, the first each event costs $30, with an additional $20 per event. The website fee is $5 for the first two events, and the total cost for one event is $65, two events is $90, and three events is $110. Participants are required to check in at least 30 minutes prior to the start of their event. Balances must be paid in full for participation, and all scores will be entered into DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating).

Teams are not considered registered until both members have completed their registration and payment. The tournament will be limited in capacity, and once certain brackets reach their maximum number of participants, a waitlist will be established.

The tournament is open to players of all ages, with a minimum age requirement of 10 years old. The primary ball used will be the Franklin X-40. While this is not a sanctioned tournament, it adheres to USAPA rules, and medals will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. Age brackets will be determined by the youngest partner, and team skill level will be based on the highest skill level.
