The cranberry is coming back to bagels and English muffins.
Its tart flavor may put off some foodies, but the cranberry has its merits. Studies show it is rich in ascorbic acid, Vitamin C, and Manganese, not to mention Vitamin E and K1. And perhaps it is tradition alone that brings the flavor around this time of year.
Whatever the reason, BBU is welcoming back its limited-edition Thomas’ cranberry line of products. Horsham-based Bimbo Bakeries USA announced that it is bringing back its cranberry bagels and English muffins. According to the news release, the breakfast carbs will be “bursting with real cranberries,” and are said to come with a “signature sweet and tart flavor of the holiday season in every bite.”
The special flavors are slated to be on area shelves until Dec. 28.
“This is an exciting time for Thomas’ as we bring back our fan favorite cranberry products and expand our other beloved varieties into new regions,” said Janice Wisniewski, brand manager from Thomas’ in a release. “Whether you’re a fan of our seasonal products or enjoy our staple breads and bagels, we’re proud to offer a wide range of products that offer something for everyone.”
