An educational event will be held on Oct. 31
Halloween doesn’t have to be spooky for your family. Instead, you could spend the day with a stop at the Horsham Fire Company No. 1.
On Thursday, Oct. 31, the company will host a free car seat check for children’s seats. You can be sure your child’s seat is age-appropriate, fitting for their height and weight, and is securely installed into your car.
Parents can register for the check event by selecting a time slot on Eventbrite. There is no cost for the check, and appointments include a one-on-one, in-person consultation with a certified car seat safety technician.
“This is an educational fitting station, not an installation service,” explained the invitation online. “Please make sure to attempt installing the car seat yourself prior to arrival. Bring the car seat manual and the vehicle’s owner’s manual with you to the appointment.
Each appointment requires a time slot of its own, meaning if you’d like the techs to review two cars, please make two separate appointments.
Times are available between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the company’s station at 315 Meetinghouse Road in Horsham. For more information, call Teresa at 484-446-3078.
