If you are looking for a fun event, there’s no need to leave your own community. There is plenty happening in and around the Horsham area all week long. A Golf Outing “Fore Parks” sponsored by Doylestown Township will be held on Monday, Oct. 7, with check-ins at 8 a.m. and a shotgun start at 9 a.m. at the Commonwealth National Golf Club in Horsham. Registration is required. The cost for an individual is $227, while a foursome team can play for $908 (with members registered on the same form). The Church of the Advent in Hatboro has scheduled a blood drive for Monday, Oct. 7 from 2 to 4 p.m. with the American Red Cross. Donors are able to park for no cost at the Hatboro Federal Savings Bank on Rorer Avenue, across from the church. To register, or for more information, call the church at 215-675-5737.
The Believing Faithfully in Christ (BFC) Family will host a nature walk, picnic, and gathering on Saturday, Oct. 12 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Tamanend Upper Southampton Park, 1255 Second Street Pike, in Southampton. This opportunity for fellowship is open to all area residents, and just a $10 donation is suggested. Reservations can be made on Eventbrite here. The focus of the event will be Homelessness and Those In Need.” Guests are asked to bring chairs, though refreshments will be provided. The Nabrasa Brazilian Steakhouse, located at 680 N. Easton Road, in Horsham, features a weekly Sunday Brunch on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Guests can enjoy all-you-can-eat meats, including nine premium Brazilian meats and salmon served tableside, along with waffles, pancakes, a chocolate fountain dessert and omelet station. On Sunday, Oct. 13, the DJP Fall Fest will be held from noon to 5 p.m. An event by the Daniel J. Parzych Memorial Fund, it will be held at Graeme State Park. A nonprofit dedicated to supporting local causes whose needs “align with four pillars, central to Dan’s life: community, family, sports, and animals,” will host the festival for its fourth year. Tickets are available online here. This event will have food, games, raffles, beer, and more for all interests. Those under 2 do not require a ticket.
