When it’s been a long week, and you find out it is only the middle of it, it can be tough to find a way to unwind. Soul Spirit Salt Spa would like to remind you that this makes an ideal time to “take a deep breath.”
The spa, located at 457 Easton Road in Horsham, has many of the relaxing services one might expect, but in addition it also boasts a large salt spa room. Salt spas, or halotherapy, has been shown to provide many health benefits.

And no matter your age, who couldn’t use a bit more stress relief? The Horsham-based spa offers occasional sessions of Chair Yoga with a side of salt. For example, there was a recent multi-week session of chair yoga at 6:30 p.m. with a salt spa experience at 7:30 p.m. The cost was just $30, and the session is limited to 10 people.
"Let's Get Salty" with psychic Dolores Rilho will be coming up in the salt room, as well on Oct. 7 and Nov. 4.
Reservations are required for upcoming events, and can be made by calling 215-858-4448. Those hosting the session explained that chair yoga is a simplified version of the stress-relieving and stretching activity.
“Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga practiced sitting on a chair or standing, using a chair for support, while gaining strength and balance from within,” said the spa’s site. “We will also do some breathing exercises.”
After the hour-long session of yoga, guests will receive a 45-minute salt session in the spa’s large salt room.
“Your body will let go of stress and stagnant energy and replace that with positive energy and cleaner breath which is equal to oxygen for the cells,” said the spa’s website. “Each week will be a little different as we learn how to calm down the body, mind, and spirit, bringing in harmony.”
The spa offers the ongoing sessions, open to any age, to help those participating in finding serenity and relaxation in their daily lives.
“By the end of the class, you’ll be refreshed, rejuvenated, replenished, and re-balanced, ready to go about your day,” said the site.
