A fire in Horsham has many area first responders assisting at a scene on Saturday evening.
According to county dispatch, a structure fire was reported in the 200 block of Broadway Avenue in Horsham Township on Saturday night around 8:24 p.m. Early reports noted that a woman who is bed-bound was trapped inside. Rescue crews were able to evacuate her from the home, according to those at the scene.
Power to the building has been cut, according to crews at the scene, as some reports noted the fire started in the home's dryer.
Fire crews also said that at least one other male occupant of the home was evacuated. The two-story home was being investigated at this hour, with emergency crews attempting to determine if the blaze was fully knocked down.
Responding to the scene were Second Alarmers Rescue Squad, Horsham Fire Company, Enterprise Fire Company of Hatboro, and Upper Moreland Township Fire Department, among other first responder units.
Reports stated that the fire was "under control" within eight minutes of the fire teams' arrival.
