Studies show that nearly 50 million adults are doing it. So, if you haven’t tried this new activity, maybe you’re missing out. But don’t worry, the phenomenon may soon be coming to Hatboro.
The sport that has become “all the rage” has nearly 19 percent of the country’s population getting out to the courts for a game called Pickleball. And after having success in Lansdale, one family-owned chain is seeking to expand into Hatboro, too.
According to a report in the Philadelphia Business Journal by Senior Reporter John George, Dill Dinkers, located in Lansdale’s Velocity Station at 1180 Church Road in Lansdale, is seeing enough success that its owners want to branch out into more of Montgomery County.
Regional developer Andrew Wakefield said he wants his second location to be in Hatboro’s Station Park, said the article. A 48,000-square-foot sized site would include 18 courts and has a grand opening slated for occur before the close of 2024. Wakefield told the PBJ that three more locations are planned for 2025.
