An accident just before midnight last night had emergency crews responding to the eastbound lanes of Interstate 276 in Upper Dublin Township last night.
According to dispatch notes, a call was received around 11:47 p.m. Wednesday night when a witness said that a tractor trailer had collided with a Jeep. The driver was unresponsive at the time of the call, and vehicles were blocking traffic. One lane of the highway was closed for some time as crews worked to assess the scene.
The driver was reportedly transported via ambulance for injuries. His condition is unknown at this time.
Responding to the incident were the Pennsylvania State Police, the Fort Washington Fire Company, Upper Moreland Township Fire Department, and the Community Ambulance Association of Ambler, among other first responders.
All lanes of the roadway have since reopened. Updates will be provided as they are made available.
