Theresa Harmon had lived in Horsham Township for the past 24 years, serving her long-time community in many ways. She and her husband, Dan, have three sons, the oldest a 2018 graduate of Hatboro-Horsham High School, and another who was a member of the class of 2020.
“It’s the only community our kids have ever known,” Harmon said in summer meeting of the council. “I just love Horsham
However, in August 2024, Harmon resigned from her role on the Horsham Township Council, as she is moving out of the township.
“I’m sorry we didn’t get to work much closer for longer,” said fellow-Councilwoman Samantha Slaff at the August session.
The council’s vice president echoed the sadness, seeing Harmon go in August.
“We came on together,” said Vice President Sean Wade. “It’s sad to see you go.”
Harmon has a Bachelor of Science degree from Shippensburg University. She previously served on the Hatboro-Horsham School District as director for two terms, also serving on the Policy and Curriculum committees as Chairwoman.
She is a regional sales manager for Aesthetic Products and Solutions for H2C, LLC. As she moves out of her long-term home, she is no longer able to serve on the township’s council.
At Monday night’s meeting, Harmon was recognized for history of work with the community.
“Council recognized Theresa Harmon for her time spent on Horsham Township’s Council,” said the township’s website. “Join us in thanking and celebrating Theresa for her service to our community. We wish Theresa all the best in her new endeavors.”
The council presented with Harmon with a certificate of thanks at the Oct. 28 session. Harmon also served as the council’s treasurer prior to her departure.
