Since a March 19 incident this year, the Hatboro Police Department has been on the lookout for this man, wanted for multiple firearm offenses.
Eric Brown, 32, of Philadelphia is facing four different charges connected to an incident back in March 2024. Hatboro Police were dispatched around 6:38 p.m. to the Continental Armory, located at 9 S. York Road in Horsham, for the report of a man there trying to purchase a gun. Police said that the Brown had an active arrest warrant out at the time out of Philadelphia.
According to police, they were able to take in Brown, placing him under arrest for the outstanding warrant. Officers said they continued the investigation and found that Brown had attempted to purchase a firearm while he was at the Continental Armory. As Brown has previous convictions, for violent criminal offenses, he is prohibited from purchasing or possessing a firearm.
An arrest warrant was issued for Brown on April 30, 2024 in the District Court 38-1-22, currently the courts of Magisterial District Judge Todd Stephens. Brown is facing two felony counts of Materially providing a false written statement for the purchase, delivery, or transfer of a firearm, as well as two misdemeanor charges of Statement under penalty.
Anyone with information on Brown’s whereabouts should call the Hatboro Police at 215-675-2832 or submit a tip on the department’s Crime Watch page here.
As he has been wanted since April, Brown remains on the Montgomery County’s Most Wanted List.
