The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Montgomery County has worked since 1913 to advocate for area businesses. It is one of the state’s oldest chambers, with over 700 businesses as members, covering more than 40,000 employees in and around the county.
On Thursday, Dec. 19, the chamber invites one and all (members or not) to attend its Holidays in Horsham celebration. Slated for 4 to 6 p.m. at the Iron Abbey, 680 East Road in Horsham, the event’s proceeds will benefit The Miracle Field of Horsham. The cost for members or nonmembers is the same, just $10 to attend.
The event is sponsored by TD Bank and Tilghman Builders, along with the Horsham Business Association. You can register online for the event here.
The evening will feature appetizers, a cash bar, and door prizes for those in attendance. For more information on the celebration, email [email protected] or call 215-362-9200 for details.
The Miracle Field of Horsham is an athletic space designed to be a “safe and inclusive environment, where those with disabilities will find comfort, friendship, and a sense of belonging through athletics and competition,” according to the organization’s website.
The sports complex includes surfaces with full wheelchair and walker accessibility. Things like bases and pitching mounds are painted onto the surface, so that there are no raised obstacles. Dugouts were designed to accommodate assistive equipment, with larger spaces.
“With some modifications, this field in Horsham will be as similar as possible to a typical Little League field,” said the site.
