Montgomery County government workers got into the holiday spirit earlier this week, kicking off festivities with the Montgomery County Holiday Lighting Ceremony.
A Christmas tree, Hanukkah menorah and Kwanzaa kinara were lit outside the Montgomery County courthouse in downtown Norristown. Attendees were also treated to holiday classics performed by the Montgomery County choir.
“The holidays offer us all a moment to reflect on our blessings and to cherish the time-honored traditions that unite and strengthen our communities. I am wishing everyone a holiday season filled with joy, peace and love,” Montgomery County Commissioners’ Chairwoman Jamila Winder said in a Facebook post following Monday’s event.
