From that same Hatboro bakery that brought you election cookies (you could select your very own Harris or Trump sweet treat ahead of the 2024 Presidential Election), there’s a new creative confection that may be just the gift for that Trump fan in the family.
The Lochel’s Bakery in Hatboro is now crafting up Trump Gingerbread Houses. These mini-wannabe white houses are flying off of the shelves. By Monday, Dec. 9, they’d sold out. Why not “make gingerbread great again” just before Christmas?
“We sold out quickly,” said owners Rob and Kathleen Lochel on a recent Facebook post. “Real quick. Very quick.” Clearly their comic relief is still intact, even after the rush of orders.
These tasty, edible houses are frosted with an American flag roof, lined with candy-coated walkways, and even have their very own Trump snowman in the front lawn.
Those hoping to snag one of their own can email [email protected] with a name, phone number, date for pick-up (either Dec. 17 or 24), and time. Once your email is received, the bakery will contact you to take a deposit. A very limited number of houses remain.
If you don’t snag a very Trumpy Christmas gingerbread house with its limited availability, there are plenty of other holiday options at Lochel’s Bakery. From Grinch-faced cookies to double-layered Santa Buckle cakes, there are plenty of creative (and delicious) options to choose from to appease your holiday sweet tooth.
Green Christmas Tree Cakes stand tall on any dessert table, and the two-pound assorted gift pack of holiday cookies can give you that mix of flavors to please any palate.
Each gingerbread house sells for $75. Lochel’s Bakery is located at 57 S. York Road in Hatboro. For more information on the houses, call 215-773-9779.
