The sights and sounds of the holidays are surely plentiful. It seems no matter where you look, there are more wonderful ways to welcome the holiday spirit. The Friends of Horsham Library invite the public to a prime example with its holiday event open to all ages.
On Saturday, Dec. 14, from 1 to 2:30 p.m., a free concert will be held at the Horsham Library, featuring the Philadelphia Handbell Ensemble. The show, is entitled “Home for the Holidays.”
The Friends of Horsham Library is a volunteer-based organization which seeks to “stimulate public interest in our library” and also to “supplement funding to support the needs and library programs.” The group works to continually “enhance the involvement of diverse members and volunteers to expand and support the library.”
The upcoming holiday concert will feature the ensemble, which features advanced-level “ringers” from Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey. Coming from all walks and all stages of life, its members work toward “musical excellence” combining the talents of its ringers with occasional incorporation of other instruments to bring the sound of the bells to more ears.
For more information on the complimentary concert, visit https://www.fhlib.org/, email [email protected], or call the library at 215-443-2609. The library is located at 435 Babylon Road in Horsham.
