While it is not an ideal evening to be without power, that is precisely the state many residents find themselves in this Thursday night.

According to PECO Energy Company, an outage in the area of Horsham Township has left around 1,200 homes without power on Thursday, Dec. 5. With cold temperatures, a warming station has been opened for those seeking heat and/or electricity to plug devices for charging.

The Horsham Community Center, located at 1025 Horsham Road is now open for those in need. While bathroom facilities are available, there is no food nor showers at this time. The center opened around 8:30 p.m. for residents who've lost power.

There is no estimation of a restoration time frame. PECO is reportedly assessing the situation.
