The Horsham Township Police Department has added to its team with a new officer on the force.
During the Horsham Township Council meeting last week, Magisterial District Judge Todd Stephens swore in the newest HTPD officer. Richard Ziegler joined the team after his most recent role of serving as a SEPTA transit police officer for the past five years.
Ziegler is a graduate of West Chester University and of Philadelphia’s Roman Catholic High School. The council was able to welcome him during the recent public meeting.
Horsham police are led by Chief Scott Fida. They are based out of the township building at 1025 Horsham Road in the township. The goal of the department is “to preserve, protect, and enhance the quality of life for the people of Horsham Township.”
