From the Editor
My name is Keith Heffintrayer, and I am the Executive Editor for the Access Global suite of sites in the Philadelphia suburbs.
My career in journalism began as a columnist for the Lansdale Patch in December 2010, though I quickly worked my way into a regional correspondent role in the months that followed. A little over 16 months later, I was editor of multiple Patch sites across Montgomery County, and my love for hyperlocal journalism really began to blossom.
In August 2018, I rolled the dice and launched my own hyperlocal news site: North Penn Now. My goal at the time was to fill a coverage gap in the area, but I never had even the faintest clue as to how massive the site would become. By August 2023, we had already obliterated our five-year goals for readership and revenue, and in February 2024 — with an average monthly readership of 250,000 readers — the company I founded was acquired by Access Global.
In my new role, my focus will be scaling the model I built with North Penn Now to other communities across the area. The same standards, principals, and strategies that were used to make North Penn Now a success will be employed here with Horsham Now, though with the understanding that communities will always differ, and the flexibility to fine tune our model to meet the needs and preferences of this area.
I’m extremely excited and grateful for the opportunity to once again provide news coverage to the Horsham region, and I’m looking forward to getting to know you all!
Sincerely,
Keith Heffintrayer
Executive Editor, Access Global
